Applications open for startups with innovative health solutions at Biolab's InovaBio Open

The open innovation program, InovaBio OpenThe initiative, run by Biolab Farmacêutica, aims to integrate cutting-edge technologies and ideas to promote continuous innovation, attracting effective solutions to health challenges. The initiative is aimed at startups and researchers/universities from all over Brazil, which are already in operation, with ready-made, scalable solutions that meet the proposed challenges.
"We have a long history of investing in scientific research and development, which we take very seriously. Currently, 10% of our turnover is dedicated to this purpose. That's why we're very excited to bring in outside innovation to help us find mature, applicable solutions that can be turned into impactful projects for Biolab and the healthcare ecosystem," explains Marco Aurélio, Biolab's Vice President of Innovation and Quality.
The first stage of InovaBio Open takes place between October 14 and November 15. For this phase, solutions connected with at least 1 of the 5 challenges presented will be pre-selected. Entries are being made through Sling Hub, a benchmark platform in the innovation ecosystem, which brings startups closer to companies and investors throughout Latin America.
On December 4, 2024, the selected companies will present their solutions in person to Biolab executives. The winning solutions will go through the planning and testing stages in 2025.

- Commercial solutions for the interface between representatives/doctors and/or pharmaceutical retailers
- New tools and/or software to optimize the development of new formulations
- Development of new products and new forms of pre-clinical and clinical trials
- How to increase production efficiency in the pharmaceutical industry
