With a focus on intestinal health, Avert® Biolab Saúde Animal supports the ABRAGA Symposium
The company, which is the animal health arm of Biolab Farmacêutica, was present at the ABRAGA Regional Symposium, highlighting the main products in its gastro line, such as Up Flora, Beneflora Vet and Vitecol. The event brought together 210 participants, as well as six speakers who addressed updates on intestinal diseases in dogs and cats, on November 30, at the Altino Antunes amphitheater at FMVZ-USP, in São Paulo.
"The intestinal microbiota of pets is just as fundamental as that of humans, as it contributes directly to the balance and proper functioning of the body. When there is instability in the intestinal flora, the absorption of essential nutrients can be impaired, resulting in weight loss, weakness and worsening of diseases. In addition, the immune system, already compromised in many cases, becomes even more vulnerable, increasing the risk of infections and inflammations," says Pamela Pioli Meneghesso, veterinary surgeon and product manager at Avert® Biolab Animal Health.
After diagnosis by a specialist, guardians can rely on specific supplements to help restore the intestinal microbiota and keep it balanced. During the event, the Avert® highlighted Up Flora, the only gastro-resistant capsule symbiotic on the market, which offers 10 billion strains per dose. "Its differential is that it guarantees that the microorganisms present in the capsule reach the animal's intestine intact," adds Pamela.
Another highlight was Beneflora Vet, which combines a probiotic, prebiotic, zinc and vitamin E, suitable for dogs and cats at different stages of life. For animals deficient in cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), Pamela presented the action of Vitecol, with small tablets that make supplementation easier.
"The symposium is fundamental for veterinary gastroenterology and for the sector as a whole. Learning about trends and new developments in an increasingly demanding market allows us to offer ever more technological and innovative solutions," Pamela concludes.
