BRIEF DESCRIPTION/INDICATION
DTN-FOL® is a source of folic acid and vitamin E. A food supplement in soft capsule form, containing 400 micrograms of folic acid and 10 milligrams of vitamin E. Folic acid aids in the formation of the fetus's neural tube (the structure that gives rise to the brain and spinal cord) during pregnancy and for women of childbearing age, especially those wishing to become pregnant. Folic acid also helps in the synthesis of amino acids, in the process of cell division, in the functioning of the immune system, in the metabolism of homocysteine and aids in the formation of red blood cells. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps protect against damage caused by free radicals.
