Metoprolol succinate is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension (high blood pressure) - reduction of blood pressure, morbidity and risk of mortality of cardiovascular and coronary origin (including sudden death); Angina pectoris; Adjuvant therapy for symptomatic chronic heart failure, mild to severe: Increased survival, reduced hospitalization, improved left ventricular function, improved New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class and improved quality of life; Heart rhythm alterations, including especially supraventricular tachycardia; Maintenance treatment after myocardial infarction.
